Perpetual Trophies
of the
Reno Rose Society

Local businesses and individuals have donated perpetual trophies since the Society began having rose shows in 1957. These trophies are awarded annually to winners of various categories in our Annual Rose Show. The first an most recent winners of the trophies are listed below each trophy name.

The Society has only one perpetual trophy for floribunda roses. This trophy is awarded for the best one-bloom or spray per stem specimen in the horticltural classes.

The Society has two perpetual trophies which are awarded for the Miniature Queen and Mini-Flora Queen. These are awarded for the best one-bloom-per-stem miniature and mini-flora entries.

The Society has several perpetual trophies which are awarded for the best entry in certain challange classes. These non-miniature challange classes include English-style box, stages of bloom, 3-bloom, and 6-bloom (etc.) one-bloom-per-stem classes.

The Society also has two perpetual trophies which are awarded for the most blue ribbons and the best entry in the arrangement classes excluding the judges', etiquette, personal adronment, and crafts classes. There are some years when no exhibitor received at least three blue ribbons and therefore the Retail Florists Trophy was not awarded. There are also years in which the top arrangement was thought not to merit the Hasco Trophy.
