Our annual rose pruning demonstration at the Reno Municipal Rose Garden in Idlewild Park on Saturday, March 28th. This event free to the general public and is always held the last Saturday in March.

Ann Marie Harris, our 2008 President, introduced RRS officers and Dianne Stortz-Linz from the City of Reno and spoke about volunteering to maintain and create new public gardens. Teresa Atkinson, a recently appointed ARS Consulting Rosarian, did the present-ation on general pruning, pruning tips, and fertilizing roses. After Teresa's presentation, attendees were encouraged to tag along with Rose Society members for hands-on instruction on how to prune roses.
